PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment up to 18 meters/60 feet.
You’ll learn how to:
Set up and check your scuba gear
Do safety checks
Enter and exit the water, descend and ascend
Clear mask, recover your regulator, check gauges
Control your buoyancy
If you’re in good health, reasonably fit, and feel comfortable in the water, you can join the PADI Open Water Diver course. To make sure you’re ready, you can check a simple medical form. The minimum age to begin is 10 years old.
The 3-day PADI Open Water course with e-learning is RM1,300 for a private course. Fully personalized experience with one-on-one attention from your instructor, tailored to your pace and comfort.
Buddy Course is RM1,100 for 2 pax. Learn together with a friend or partner, share the adventure, and support each other every step of the way.

FAQ
Anyone age 10 years and older can learn to dive and explore the underwater world. PADI knowledge development provides the fundamentals you need to confidently advance to your in-water dive training. With PADI eLearning you can read, watch videos, and take quizzes at your own pace before moving on to the next step. During in-water training, an experienced PADI Instructor will help you learn the necessary dive skills to become a safe and competent diver. Your scuba diving certification is for life! However, diving regularly is highly recommended to maintain your dive skills and knowledge. Try to avoid long periods without diving (6 months or longer). If you haven’t been scuba diving recently, you should take the PADI Reactivate Scuba Refresher.
The PADI Open Water Diver course usually takes 3-4 days. You’ll combine 1 day of classroom/online study, and 2 days of both confined water trainings and open-water dives.

Teaching by certified instructors, full set of dive equipment, boat transfers, marine park fees, and certification processing.
Training dives are usually done at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP)/ Sepanggar Island just 10-15 minutes off Kota Kinabalu, which offers calm conditions and sandy bottom to avoid damaging our sensitive corals reef.
The minimum age is 10 years old. Divers aged 10–14 earn the Junior Open Water Diver certification.
Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, lunch* and personal items. We provide all the dive gears.
*Our refreshment include coffee/tea/milo and some snacks only. Please bring your own lunch if you would like to have a full meal on the boat. (Lunch can be brought from the jetty in the morning before departure)
Yes! You can complete the PADI eLearning portion at home, which saves time on holiday. Then, finish your water training with us in Kota Kinabalu.
Don’t worry — our instructors teach at your pace. If you need more time, we’ll provide extra sessions until you’re comfortable and ready.
